Parents can easily explore and sign up their kids for programs, while teachers can find new job opportunities. The platform makes the after-school experience smoother and more connected for everyone.

Key Insight
While working on AfterSchoolLife, I discovered that parents were struggling with a fragmented system for managing after-school activities. After conducting a survey, I realized they needed a centralized solution—a single, easy-to-use platform where they could sign up, update information, and track their child’s participation.
Key pain points included:
-
Disconnected systems: Parents had to visit multiple platforms and offices.
-
Frequent updates: Parents had to contact support for changes.
-
Time-consuming: The process was inefficient and stressful.
-
Need for a centralized solution: A single platform could streamline everything.
Solution
Simplifying After-School Registration with a One-Stop Platform
To simplify the after-school registration process, I designed AfterSchoolLife, a single platform where parents can:
-
Easily register their child for programs and manage everything in one place.
-
Update information directly on the platform without needing to contact support.
-
Track their child’s activities and participation history.
The user-friendly design saves parents time, reduces stress, and eliminates the need for multiple steps and platforms.

Design Exploration
To design the Dashboard, I explored various options for button types, placement, column sorting, card design, and tabs. Using low-fidelity wireframes, I experimented with different layouts to find the best way to present data and improve interaction. Here are some examples of these design explorations.

Final Selection
The final card design was chosen because it is clear, easy to use, and fits well with the overall layout. It organizes information effectively, making it simple for users to access key actions. Feedback from users showed that this design offered the best combination of functionality and visual appeal.
